Lewis J. Kampel, MD

Dr. Kampel is a board certified medical oncologist with more than 40 years of experience, including two years of active duty in the United States Army. He is currently an Attending Physician on the Genitourinary Oncology Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College. He specializes in the treatment of prostate cancer and other malignancies of the urinary tract. He is the author of Dx/Rx Prostate Cancer, a handbook for medical professionals as well as several journal articles and abstracts. Dr. Kampel has been interested in disparities in cancer care for several years.

Henry G. Godfrey, MD

Dr. Henry Godfrey has a special interest in breast cancer detection and treatment. He has worked as a breast surgeon at the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care since 2003, and at the Breast Examination Center of Harlem — a community program of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center — since 1980. One of his favorite quotes is by Martin Luther King: “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” When asked why he chooses to work on Saturdays, he responds: “As long as the people come, I come.”

Rosa Nouvini, MD

Dr. Rosa Nouvini is a medical oncologist who is dedicated to providing comprehensive cancer care to members of the Harlem community. Because cancer can affect all aspects of a person’s life, she believes in a holistic approach to treatment. In addition to providing the most effective cancer therapies, she places a strong emphasis on helping patients and their families cope with the social and emotional impact of their disease. Dr. Nouvini collaborates closely with doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering to help patients gain access to clinical trials that may offer newer treatments. She cherishes the opportunity to meet and build relationships with her patients and their families.

Kathleen Killoran, MD

Dr. Kathleen Killoran is a hematologist-oncologist who has been practicing medicine for more than 15 years. She completed her post-graduate training in New York City and has spent much of her career providing care to underserved community residents who are facing serious illnesses. In her clinical practice, she is focused on providing attentive, high-quality care to empower patients and help them get back to wellness. In addition to caring for people with cancer, Dr. Killoran is interested in quality assurance and has extensive experience in mentoring medical students.
