Welcome to Your Guide to Better Health, a free publication designed to inspire you to improve your health and the health of your family. Brought to you by Rodale Inc., the nation’s leading health and wellness publisher, it is full of useful information about making
good nutrition, fitness and health a part of your lifestyle.
The magazine serves another important function: to introduce you to the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention
located at 124th Street and Madison Avenue and to help you better understand how we may assist you. We work in partnership with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and North General Hospital.
Cancer can be frightening and complicated. But we want you to know that we are here to help everyone. If someone comes to your house, you make that person feel comfortable. Well, the Ralph Lauren Center is our house, and anyone who comes here is our guest and we will see that he or she is treated with kindness and compassion.
Beyond that, we will see to it that if you have a problem, it will be taken care of regardless of your ability to pay. That is the essence of the Ralph Lauren Center. No one goes untreated. Everyone gets high-quality care.
African-American men have the highest death rates for prostate and colon cancers. African-American women have the highest death rates for cervical and breast cancers. Changing those statistics
in our community begins with you. Please call us to learn about cancer screenings. These tests save lives. Don’t let a lack of insurance
prevent you from getting screened. We can help everyone.
Thanks and best wishes,
Harold P. Freeman, M.D.
